Our client in East Tacoma had a beautiful house with a small garage, so we designed a detached garage off the alley to store their vehicles and tools. We got a height variance for the garage since the existing house had such a low roof profile, and the ordinance stated the garage height must be lower than the primary structure. We were also able to save our client's amazing garden with some careful space planning.
