Our clients wanted to build a detached ADU with a garage below, so they could rent out the unit on Airbnb for additional income, and so that the garage space could be used for woodworking projects. We had to develop a narrower design and obtain a variance for the unique lot shape. It is a very successful Airbnb today in the 6th Ave. neighborhood of Tacoma.
